Exclamation Virtual Memory Screw Up

Well, what can I say? I changed the custom size on my virtual memory. And now my computer has excessive lagging. And I have no idea how to reset it back to how it originally was. I run a - Windows XP Home Edition, Service Pack 2, Intel Celeron 3.06 GHz, 1.00GB RAM. I will be extremely gratefull if anyone can help me with this occurance.

Many regards,

-William

Welcome to TSF,

Is this what you need?

Start>rite click “My Computer”>advanced>select ”settings” under the performance tab>advanced>select ”change” in the virtual memory box. The rule of thumb minimum is 1.5 times installed ram, max is double the minimum for custom size. Or use system managed size

Please give us more information to work from. What are your current VM settings? What kind of internet do you have? Have you tried a defrag?
