Cry Need urgent help...!

Hi... I have a p4 running on XP with two hard drives, and two dvd rom and an external hard drive. Yesterday I was kind of ripping a dvd... and all of a sudden, the pc completely shuts down, only the power on light flashed...
I tried unpluging one of the hard drives... but still no use... should i get a new hard drive or a power supply... please help me...

Thanks in advance

the PSU probably gave up on you. when getting a new one make sure you get a decent make and one with enough power to run your PC. you can go here to calculate what wattage PSU you'll need. add 30% to what this page calculates just to be sure.

normally when a PSU dies, you get smoke and possibly warning beeps from the on board speaker just before it goes. you didn't say anything like that happened. so just in case the fuse went in the plug switch cables from the monitor to the PC and see does the PC power up first.
