Replacement RAM

Hi

hope this is in the right part of the forum - couldnt see anywhere else for my query.

Is there a way of telling the limit of RAM my PC will cope with. I want to add some and am unsure as to how much i can put in.

I only have 512 at the moment and guess it would cope with 1G but could i get more in?

I bought the pc in 2003.

cheers

steve
