A7N8X DE-LUXE REV2.0 REV1.04 whats the difference?

What difference will i notice? i had the rev 2.0 til it failed, now got a rev 1.04.
Can i update to 2.0?

Hi,

My understanding of this issue is that the newer revision means a newer BIOS. The properties of the board do not change as a rule, so IMHO you could change the BIOS out from the board that died (unless it was the Bios that died) and it should work.

However, if it were mine, I would put the old board in just as it is, take it for a test drive and see how it functions. Then, if it needs to have the BIOS updated, then flash it to a newer version. If it does not perform to what you want it to do, then try the other bios from your old board that died. I just never change or fix anything that does not need fixed, so that is why I would follow this process.

That is my two cents worth.

My room mate has that board. I'll check it when I go home and see what he's running on the BIOS.

thanks tumbleweed, that was line i was thinking of taking, could be the bios has already been updated.
