Asus P4P800 se

I recently installed a new Asus P4P800se board. It says on bootup its in Linear mode. What does that mean? Computer is deathly slow booting since installing the board but I have been unable to find the problem. Was wondering if maybe this might be the problem?

Thank you

Slow Asus

Is yours slow on boot up? Like 2 1/2 to 3 minutes? I changed the board and also went to sata drives at the same time so I don't know which is the problem.
Thanks
Ken
