HELP!!!!! This is driving me nuts...
Following a problem with the RAID0 array that popped up as faulty, after reading the posts in this forum (thank God for them...) I deleted and reconstructed the array. Using low level tools, both disks (WD Raptors 36G) show no error whatsoever. I have the Promise floppy to load the drivers when installing XP and I tried first to boot up BartPE with "RAID Reconstructor". It does detect the disks, but when I put them in the array to be reconstructed it does NOT find any size/orientation that fits. Also it sees the array size as 138G (instead of 68G) which of course is incorrect. When I boot up using the XP install CD, I provide the drivers for the Promise controller, it appears to load them fine but when I try to repair the disk from the Recovery Console...it's NOT there!!!!! XP does NOT see my C at all. I tried to delete the array and see if the disks are individually detected but that didn't work either. Please help...I wanna try and at least salvage some of my data. Thanks in advance ![]() :EDIT: when I rebuilt the array, I did NOT choose to delete the file table, nor to "quick initialize". Should I have done that? I was afraid this is going to compromise my data. Last edited by Ipse; 11-24-2005 at 08:15 AM. |
