pls help, amd bios issue
mobo: asus a7n8x regular
i recently purchased an amd athlon xp 3200 400 fsb for my system, upgraded from amd athlon xp 3000 333 fsb plus i bought ocz gold gamers edition pc3200 dual channel 2x512mb memory. i know the memory works because i installed it prior to changing processors and it worked flawlessly. however, after i installed my new processor it did not load until i reset cmos memory and then it only loads at 100mhz cpu frequency instead of 200 which it needs to be (my old processor ran at 166 for full potential w/o oc'ing). i am not trying to oc what so ever, i just want it to work at what it is supposed to. any help is appreciated. system: asus a7n8x amd athlon xp 3000 333fsb upgraded to amd athlon xp 3200 400 fsb thermal take volcano 12 fan for cpu kingston generic pc2700 2x512mb memory upgraded to ocz gold ge pc3200 dual channel 2x512mb 400 watt psu thermal take dream tsunami case 1x90mm, 2x120mm fans geforce 6800 gt 256mb agp windows xp pro sp2 |
