bios setting problem for Asus a7n8x

just recently purchased an amd athlon xp 3200 processor with 400 fsb capabilities and some ocz gold dual channel memory 2x512mb. i know the ram works because i installed it withe my old processor, amd athlon xp 3000 with 333 fsb. i cant get my new processor to run at the speed it is suppose to, if i change the cpu external freq. to 200 for 3200 support it doesnt boot at all. it only boots if left at 100. please adv.

Try clearing the Bios. Take the battery out for about 30 minutes or use the jumper as described in the mobo manual.

Can you be more specific about the ram speed rating?
