BIOS for P2B-DS

Which of all the BIOSs for the P2B-DS motherboard listed at ftp://ftp.asus.com.tw/pub/ASUS/mb/sl...b-ds/index.txt are valid for board version 1.04, a vintage 1998 version?

(The above URL is not complete, for reasons beyond my control. To complete the above URL, replace all the text beyond "mb/" with "slot1/440bx/p2b-ds/index.txt".)

as suspected here is what to look for / a newer version of your bios updating tool

AFLASH

2.21 2002/12/23update

OS DOS

Description Aflash V2.21 Utility to update the motherboard flash BIOS - (DOS)

File Size 30.29 (KBytes)

latest bios file / final is version 1013 / there is also a beta version 1014 ????

1013 2002/08/05update

OS All

Description P2B-DS BIOS 1013
Added microcode update support for Coppermine B-0 stepping

File Size 199.86 (KBytes)

this is the link to use

after you go there / choose motherbord from the very top drop down menu list "products"

second drop down list / choose select sereis = slot 1

in the third and final drop down list / choose you mobo model = P2B-DS

there will will find ALL for your mobo

Thanks Joe,

The link you gave me lists the latest BIOS for my P2B_DS board.
Is it safe to assume that it is compatible with my vintage 1998 board?
