P2B-ds HDD's Above 137GB

My server has an Asus Peb-ds funning duel pent3 667's. well i installed a 160GB IDE maxtor HDD and Bios see's it as an 8 gig drive. Windows can see all 160gb but about every 2 weeks the partitions disapear from my computer and the drive disapears from device manager until i restart the server and everything is okey again. is there a bios update for this MB that will support anytihng higher than 137gb? or is there a trick that i can do to get it to stop disapearing?

thanks for your help

OS: XP-Pro Sp2 & XP-Pro Sp2 Tablet Edition, Vista Ultimate

My System

the Asus website lists the latest version of bios for your mobo as 1014 (beta) or 1013 (final), so yes you should upgrade if need be, also if you are using windows XP, SP2 should solve your problem so update to SP2 if you have not done so. If all else fails, partition te drive into 2 80gb sections and you should have no problems
