To dual processer?

Well im trying to decide im not going to be serveing but what would the benefit of a dual processer be? Also what would be better for dual AMD or Pentium?

You could get a dual core CPU.
I currently have a P4 dual core CPU @ 3.0GHz. My old system was a P4 3.2GHz Prescott single core. I did notice a performance gain when running multiple apps at once and very happy with the setup.
