Swapping CPUs?

Ok i consider myself a fairly experienced user...I have a computer that I have sitting around thats actually newer then the one that i use. The one i use most has an Intel Celeron Processor and windows xp on it...the other one has an Intel Pentenium Processor with windows me. Is there a way that i could maybe swap cpus between computers? I just dont know that much about this area. Can someone help me or is there more information that you need to know?

It might be possible but first you'd have to find out what CPUs exactly are in both PCs, and what motherboard and socket.

If they are the same socket - and both motherboards support the other CPU then it should be possible.

If you are unsure about how to find out what motherboard(s) you have try Everest Home Edition (http://www.lavalys.com/products/over...pid=1&lang=en).
