My System

well, you need to enter bios long before the xp logo pops up.

by then it's far too late in the boot process.

try pushing the "del" key about 1 second after you turn the machine on.

if that doesn't work, then reset the machine, and try it again with the "F2" key.

some others to try are: "Insert", "F1", "F10", "F12" and my favorite, "Fn"+"F1" (since most keyboards don't have a "Fn" key, this can be bad)

My System

Is this a self built computer or a mass produced machine?

yes, on some machines, depending how quick they are, you better start tapping that delete key as soon as you turn it on.

Also if you are "tapping" away and nothing is happening............

Is your keyboard & mouse plugged the correct way round?

Even if you are using a Y - cable, try swapping them on that as well.

Justa thought..............
