P4P800 best performance

Ciao,
I'm new in this forum.
I've a P4P800 and a Intel 2.4 GHz. I'm not very skilled but I'd like to overclock my PC. The only one setting I've changed on my MB is the overclock to 20% (now I've a 2.9 GHz). The bios is the one when I bought it two years ago, have I to update it? Have you any advice to increase the performance of my PC?
Thanks a lot

My System

I don't know what ram you are using or how much or what you use your computer for but upgrading you ram with some nice low latency stuff will make a bit of difference. At least 512mb, 1G max
I have not checked the specs for your board but if it has a raid option ( I don't think that model came with intel raid ) but setting up a raid system for data will help also.
A good video card will also help

raid 0 will definatly make a difference. I have upgraded my ram to low latency, upgraded my processor, and graphics card. And I have a raid 0 array.
I can tell you the only one that I really noticed in real life (vs. Benchmarks) is the raid array. This is the first thing I would recommend to boost system performance. If your board will support it.
