Onboard usb chip controller problem

So heres the problem,
When ever i enable the "Onboard usb chip controller" in BIOS it gives me 100% CPU Usage all the time and when looking at task manager it says
System Ran by system is taking 99% all CPU usage all the time.
So i need help trying to figure out why this is happening. This problem leaves all my usb ports USELESS they dont even work if "Onboard usb chip controller" is on.

PS.: Will PCI to USB Card Work or will it not?

Thnx in advance

Computer is A Gateway Emachines T6524

Re: Onboard usb chip controller problem

I've never seen a system process labeled "System Ran". Are you sure that is the name of the process using the cpu?

In any case, I don't see any reason why an addon card wouldn't work.

Re: Onboard usb chip controller problem

I meant "System" is ran by "System" but a new problem rose i my mouse works on the addon card and my friend's portable External USB Harddrive, but my Kingston USB Flash Drive and my phone W810i usb cable wont connect to my computer. I put it in and it takes me to the windows Driver setup, but when it searches it fails and the device doesnt work. It Shows up in Device Manager in "Other Devices" with a Yellow Circle with a black "!"

Re: Onboard usb chip controller problem

Try the Kingston and phone in another PC. USB devices are easily damaged when a PC has USB issues.
