PC gets switched off abruptly.

I have ASUS M3A78-EM with AMD 9950 Black Edition & 2 x Transcend 2Gb 800 Mhz RAM &
cooler master 600W SMPS.
Whenever I turn ON my PC.It runs for 5-90 seconds & then gets switched off abruptly.
Same problem i faced around 1 month ago so i replaced my CPU.
Currently i am running new CPU from last week.It rans smoothly for week.now same problem again.
I tried RAM into diff slost but stil same.
I removed RAM & HDD and started PC again but still problem persists.
let me know problme is with CPU or MOBO or SMPS.

Re: PC gets switched off abruptly.

Check your heatsink is installed correctly, and if so you might like to check the CPU temperature in the BIOS. Above 40C idle and it's a little too hot.

Re: PC gets switched off abruptly.

I'd suspect the motherboard. The cpu won't shutdown the PC. Most power supply issues cause odd behavior but typically don't cause shutdowns. You can check the PS voltages in the BIOS.

I have seen many complaints of asus m3a78-em ...so went to asus service center n checked my mobo...its faulty so they replaced it with m3n78-em...
now my pc is working fine....but i am getting electric shock when touch PSU...i checked PSU with multimeter all voltages are in acceptable ranges...should i run my PC on this PSU???any procedure to check faulty PSU.
