Toshiba P205D Random Shutdown
I have had my Toshiba P205D for over a year now. About 6 months ago it started shuting itself down randomly. I could be watching a video and it would start studdering and then the screen would go blank, with just a tinge of light on it. I would have to hold the power button to power down. Then I could immediately restart. This has gone on almost daily. This morning it happened. When I went to restart it. I could hear it try to start and then it would stop. Nothing ever appeared on the screen. It seemed to always get fairly hot, but I never thought it was an issue. This may sound crazy, but I have noticed a faint sweet like odor recently, today I noticed it was coming from my laptop. I would like to repair my it myself, if it's just R&R some parts. Any help in diagnosis would greatly be appreciated.

Re: Toshiba P205D Random Shutdown
Try blowing out the cooling fan area with compressed air. Hold the fan with a non-metallic object to prevent the fan from spinning while using the compressed air.
