Mistake BSoD STOP message 0x0000008e

Over the years of owning my desktop computer, I've never really experienced many problems I couldn't fix, eventually, with a quick Google search. Unfortunately, I've now encountered a problem that I cannot solve on my own. I'm now reaching out to anyone who would be kind enough to lend a hand. My problem is, as the title clearly describes, a blue screen of death error. To be more specific, I wrote down the technical information displayed in two of the errors:

"0x0000008E (0xC000001D,0xE449A8BA,0xA7FED88C,0x00000000)"
"0x0000008E (0xC000001D,0xE4D4A8BA,0xA6B7488C,0x00000000)"

The first and last parts of the coding inside of the parentheses stay constant, but the middle two parts vary, although I do not know what any of the characters mean. I've checked a few of the possible resolutions for this BSoD in particular, but none of them seem to have worked. I updated my BIOS, my power supply is brand new (I assure you that it is not the problem), and I checked for faulty RAM memory and everything checked out okay (although I did not check my hard drive). Please, someone help me resolve this issue, it's really annoying. >.<

Oh, I should also include that I experienced the error when trying out Titan Quest for the first time (crashed at character creation screen every time).

Just to make sure I make this as thorough as possible, I'll include the system requirements for the game as well.

Re: BSoD STOP message 0x0000008e

No, I am not using Norton AntiVirus on my pc, I have McAfee VirusScan Plus installed on my PC along with a couple other programs for dealing with spyware, adware, and malware (i.e. Spybot: Search and Destroy). I'll try the help links you gave me to try to troubleshoot the problem and I'll get back to you. Thanks again for the assistance.
