Yesterday i got a short on my new mobo because of my stupidity. I did not put any standoffs between mb and case because i thought the I/O will not fit. So i just used 4 simple screws to get it fixed to the case. Ofc now the mobo it's screwed :P. It has a tiny circuit fried near the integrated video card.
In an expert's opinion...do u think there are any chances the proc have survived? are ram damaged or dvd/hdd? I did not use any video card... The PSU seemed to stop the pc one second after i powered it up so i think it got grounded. Then i powered it on 2 more times, the fans were working but no sign of life so i turned it off very fast.. 4-5 seconds after i powered it on. Now the system is in the hands of an expert..The verdict shall come tomorrow or the day after tomorrow. What should i expect? (the pics show the mobo before and after the event) Thanks for any suggestion/advice/idea/thought or anything else that comes to your mind and write to me...
