Differences between two AMD 64bits
Hello, im trying to find a difference between these two cpu's
the first one is here: http://www.newegg.com/app/ViewProduc...103-494&depa=1 and the second one is here: http://www.newegg.com/app/ViewProduc...103-460&depa=1 I noticed a slight difference in the power it uses and also in the "process" no clue what the process is. The system i want to build is a dual 64bit for gaming mainly and 3d rendering/animating and i like performance. If you could point me to the one that would perform better in these catagories or just tell me what the slight difference would make that would be great. thanks

These 2 have diffrent cores - one is a newcastle - the other is a winchester. And as you can see they are manufactured using 2 diffrent processes - 90nm and 130.
Its basically the same as the diffrence between northwood and prescott with the P4 (i am sure you've heard about them). However - which core is better i cannot answer because i am not an AMD guy. I am sure they both perform their intended tasks the same way but there might be diffrences when it comes to overclocking etc.
