Asus P5Q onboard sound
Hey all,
My Motherboard is an Asus P5Q Premium Board which has provided nothing but positive experiences ever since I built my system myself with basically no knowledge whatsoever prior to buying al the items and then assembling it all. I researched and then got what I needed. The question I had with this board is that it boasts some pretty nifty specs with respect to the 8 channel HD audio Codec and spdif and coax inputs. Now when I get a set of gaming headphones I might be leaning towards the AX360's from tritton. There's a coax input as well as spdif. I wanted to inquire if the onboards sound would be worth getting this set of cans purely for the extended options to chose the inputs. I'm wondering how the sound will be with this onboards sounds as opposed to my xfi-extreme gamer. I'm hoping the onbaord will be good enough to supply the headset with the juice to get the job done. jones
