hard drives not installed

After running a copy program on my desktop running XP the computer hung up and I had to power off reset. When it was booting it could not find my hard drives (2) and it said they were not installed. CD drives (2) were detected. When I tried bootup using XP floppy it would not boot off it. When I booted off an old Norton cd disc it did come up to dos drive a: HELP PLEASE

Try resetting your CMOS and see if that helps. Some times a hard restart will corrupt the setup, so you need to get them back to the factory settings.
