Re: Bios screen Freeze .. Asus P5GC-MX Series Intel 945GC PLEASE HELP

What is the type of hard drive, Sata or IDE?

If Sata, did you install the Sata drivers at the F6 prompt?

If IDE:
What is the brand name of the drive?
Did you install on the Primary or Secondary IDE?
How is the drive jumpered?
What else is on that ribbon cable?
How is each drive on that ribbon cable jumpered?
Where on the ribbon cable is each drive located? (end or middle)
This should help us to know what you are facing. Also, list what motherboard you have so we have more information.

If a Sata drive with XP, it won't work properly most of the time without the drivers being loaded at the F6 prompt. You also should put SP2 on there just to keep things moving in the right direction.
