Re: Pc displaying blue, red, green or pink screen!!

When the color change occurs, can you still see all the windows and text and everything on the screen, or does the color just wash over everything, so the color is the only thing showing?

If you can still see things, and it just changes to various shades of the color, that can be caused by the video card failing to send red, green, or blue signals to the monitor. If it only happens along with a freeze, I am reasonably certain that you have a bad motherboard and/or video card.

If you just got the computer and don't have much of your own data on there, you can try wiping the hard drive and reinstalling windows.

Welcome to the TSF!

You problem, as Falconoffury said, is most likely being caused by your graphics card or powersupply. Try a powersupply in your system that you know works.

It is integrated if there is no graphics card attached.

try unplugging and replugging your monitor cable. Had same issue a while back, turned out the cable had slightly disconnected

Yes you can try another graphics card in one of the slots but the new card has to match the slot in question. This will help tell you if indeed it is a problem with your onboard graphics.
