My whole computer :\
Okay...
SO this is what happend... I overclocked my CPU too high and i left it on for 10+ minutes, i than assumed after trying all ways to reset my BIOs that i had fried my CPU thus, i bought a new one. I just installed my new CPU and everything, but now i wont even display on my monitor (Samsung SyncMaster 204B) and i keep getting an annoying "Check Signal Cable" message on screen. When I start up my computer i do not receive the usual beep (that to me says, "hello, and thank you for starting me!") and thus i and left dumbstruck what the problem is. is it my GPU? CPU? Motherboard? RAM? Power Supply? please help guys, youve helped before and I am in dire need of assistance. ThNK YOU |

Re: My whole computer :\
Ok now for the bad news the EVGA 6xx series doesn't appear to support the QX9650

Re: My whole computer :\
The only way I know to find out is to test it in a known good motherboard that supports it.
or have a local shop test it for you. If you can borrow or come up with a cheap cpu that your mb supports you can test it too. |

Re: My whole computer :\
*** NVIDIA nForce 6 MCP supports QX9650, but most current nForce 6 motherboards do not.
It says the chip supports it but the motherboard does not so I would call EVGA to get clarification but the way I read it it does not. |

Re: My whole computer :\
Your OC could have damaged the mobo instead of the CPU. OCing puts stress on CPU and mobo and sometimes RAM.

Re: My whole computer :\
^^^ agree. By over clocking it, you may have fried either and or both. Your going to need to get em tested.
