P4P800C Del, memtest freezing
Hello everyone. I just joined this forum and am looking for some help. I have the above mb and am trying to get it to pass memtest. It always freezes when running memtest. Sometimes it occurs about 15 minutes into the test, other times maybe 18 minutes into it. I have tried two different cpu's, 3.0c, 2.8e and it still happens. I have a Vantec Stealth 470w psu and 2x512 sticks of brand new, just got back from rma, pc3200 Corsair c2pro, the ones with the leds on them. I have nothing hooked up to mb except: vcard, memory, and one dvd/cd drive to run memtest, version 1.40. I have tried to test at 2-3-3-6, 2.75v and also at spd which indicates 3-3-3-8. Both freeze about the same time mark, 15minutes, test 7 or 8. I have tried at stock 200fsb, 205fsb, 210fsb and get the same lock up. I know it isn't a heat issue because i have a sp94 with a 92mm on it and the hs feels cold. Any help would be appreciated.

thanks for reply
and will pull battery when I get home. I thought that this board didn't have a manual reset. If you oc'd too much, doesn't it just reset? Yeah, rma on the memory. It wouldn't work right in another board I was using and tested with memtest and found a few errors, so Corsair sent me two new sticks. I'm also gonna try some dif sticks, the ones in my main machine to see if the problem reoccurs. it wouldn't even run memtest before but I think the new version solved that prob. I also need to flash the bios, any recs as to which is the best version so far? Also, I can just do that from the floppy without having any hd's involved right? I really want to get this board to work.

Resolved, so far
I did a search on google for "p4p800 memtest freezing", that is how I found out about these forums. Anyway one of the hits said something about disabling usb legacy support. I did just that and memtest is running fine now. Weird. So this has worked so far and have tested for 4 passes at 200, 205, 210 fsb so far, no errors, no freezes.
