CPU External Cache issue
Hi, first post. Sorry bad english. Ok, when i disable external cache the pc works fine. But, when i enable it, the pc hang in random times. I discover some interesting. When i hold a temperature of 35º or more in cpu, the system works fine. When temperature of cpu low down of these valor the cpu hang.
In other words, the external cache is the cause of my problem. In cold the cache hang, why? My rare solution was use speedfan and bench the cpu when its below 35º, but i dont like this fix. I need to know the source of problem, no matters if dont have solution, only knows why cache works worse in cold. thanks to community for read this and sorry again for my bad english, im asiatic boy. My specs: CPU PENTIUM III 1GHZ 256K L2 896 RAM FX 5200 GPU WINDOWS XP SP3 MOTHER SY 7VBA133U (APOLLOPRO 133A CHIPSET) UPDATED DRIVERS AND BIOS OLD PC, BUT NO INTENSIVE USE, JUST A COUPLE OF HOURS A WEEK. ![]() |
