need help with processor

ok so right now i have an AMD Athlon XP 2400 on my old computer.. and i want to upgrade it to something by AMD thats at least 2.8 GHz. any suggestions?

I doubt you can upgrade to a cpu of that speed. You will most likely need a new motherboard if you want a faster cpu like that.

The type of processor you can use depends on your motherboard and BIOS.
What is the name of the manufacturer and model number of your board, or of your system?

AMD 2.8 GHz. deffinetly new mobo, psu..
