Dell Won't Start

My Dell won't start up - it keeps going on to a dell screen that says f2 setup f12 boot menu

if i hit f2 nothing happens

if i hit f12 it goes to this
use the up- and down-arrow keys to move thepointer to the desired boot device. <enter> to attempt the boot or esc to cancel.

any ideas please, thanks

More information is needed. What was the last thing done before the computer malfunctioned? This problem could be a number of things. One thing you can do is to test the hard-drive and see if the hard-drive went south.

I recommend going to the manufacturer's website of the hard drive and download the dianogstics utility. Then put the program on a CD and boot the computer to it. Afterwards, test the HD for any errors and see if the HD crashed on you.

Hi,
what happens when you choose to boot from the Hard Drive, (or C:windows)?
Reply with the model name and number of the Dell pc you have.
