[SOLVED] Dedicate a single core to a specific task
one of my users has asked if it is possible to dedicate a single core of a quad processor to a specific task, thus ensuring that the task can use the maximum capacity of that core without affecting the rest of the system. Ideally we would like to dedicate 2 of the cores over to CAD as this is a lot more resource hungry than other activities performed on the computers, such as AV, Word Processing and email... extremely light in comparison!
I couldn't find any options myself, perhaps you might know of third party apps which might allow this? Thanks!

Re: Dedicate a single core to a specific task
Never mind, it's called processor affinity apparently, and searching on that gave me loads of results!
