My DVD loads my Xp setup without prompting me to hit a key first?

Hello. I have an Asus A8N- Sli Deluxe Mobo. I just redid my raid 0 with
2 WD 250Gb. I set my sata DVD player to boot first and my hard drive to boot second. All is good, I can load xp but when my P.C restarts it just goes right back to booting XP setup. It doesnt ask me and or prompt me to hit any key to boot from the CD. It just starts right from scratch. I have even tried upon restart to put my HD to boot 1st but when i do it says unbootable disk.
Last time I set up XP on my raid o I wouldn't hit a key to boot from the cd and it would fail over to my HD and finish XP setup. Whats going on?

Any help would be appreciated. I have even set My sata DVD player
to my sata raid 3 and 4 slots on my mobo and even tried all my silicon raid slots 1-4. it will not prompt me to load from XP it just does It

Hi,
maybe you need to install SATA RAID drivers via floppy during Setup?

Re: My DVD loads my Xp setup without prompting me to hit a key first?

Case closed. What it was is a couple of things happening all at once,
basically my IDE dvd drive was picky and prob a little dirty, if i had a new fresh copy of xp I beleive it would of worked, so that forced me to use my sata DVD drive, witch lead me to the issue as described above. so anyways I went to the basement to get an old 24 read speed IDE DVD player and try that. Come to find out, once i hooked the drive up and set the boot priority and powered her up I found my original XP setup disk inside!! so rather than use my samsung IDE DVD player I used the old girl LOL so just because that old IDE DVD drive came through for me I left her plugged in and started and finished my XP instalation with her ,even knowing that it would take her 40 min longer to read and load the drivers, she came through for me. I will not put her back in the basement no no she will always have a spot in my computer room.
