Sony Vaio RA826 Desktop Won't Boot Up
Yesterday started it up fine, Windows loaded fine and then McAfee began to scan and started to install new updates for McAfree and Windows started installing an update. While these were running I opened Outlook and received incoming messages. I used the wheel on my mouse to scroll down to look at this list of messages and my whole system locked up. I could not shut it down anyway I tried so I turned the power off to it.
When I tried to start it back up it was receiving power, the light indicator came on and I could hear the hard drive spinning but nothing ever happened and the computer did not boot up anything. I have tried to using the boot disk and I can hear it spinning, but nothing happens. I took the case off and checked the connections. I disconnected the hard drive and reconnected it. It wouldn't start up. I took CMOS battery out and cleaned it and put it back. Any ideas about what the problem is and how to fix it? |
