Should I install Gigabyte EP35C DS3R MB Updates

I am a complete klutz when it comes to computers and I have just got my new "growler" computer (30 June) and it is going like a clock - I love it.

MB is a Gigabyte EP35C DS3R with an Intel Core2Duo E8400 3.0G CPU.

The Gigabyte web site offers a "scan facility" to determine if there are any updated drivers needed - which all sounds good.

My question is should I do the scan and download any updated drivers - or is this likely to end up screwing up my perfectly functioning computer.

I am a "fraidie cat" with this kind of stuff - coz if it all goes "pear shaped" after the down load - I wouldn't have a clue as to how to fix it.

Any comments from the wise souls at TSF would be much appreciated.

Re: Should I install Gigabyte EP35C DS3R MB Updates

just like in the movie "The Matrix"

BLUE PILL = if it aint broke ............ dont fix it

RED PILL = or "image" your boot drive for a back-up and then try the updates

Tks linderman - as always your sage advice is much appreciated.

I think I will go with the "it aint' broke - so leave the damned thing alone" strategy. (blue pill)

Afterall - the thing is going like a clock - so I will leave it alone until and if, at some time in the future some really important DL is needed to fix an actual - rather than some imagined problem. Tks again
