[SOLVED] New CPU; "frozen" when powered on.

Upgraded a Celeron D processor to a Pentium Dual Core. When I power up the computer, there is no display and nothing seems to work. All components have power (fans, drive power lights, etc) but I get nothing.

The motherboard is an ASUS P5LD2 Deluxe. I reinstalled the Celeron D, and everything works fine again.

According to the above, your MOB doesn't support dual core. So that may be your problem

And here's the list of supported CPU's from Asus saying the same thing.

That's strange; I had specified to the builder that I planned to upgrade my CPU in the future to a dual core, yet he gives me a motherboard that doesn't even support one. :/

Oh well, thanks for the replies.
