Re: Help with build bios does not see dvd drive
does windows detect the drive?
Is master/slave/CS switch set correctly, and so that there are no conflicts on the IDE cable? Is the IDE channel enabled? is BIOS set to auto select, user, or off for IDE devices?

Re: Help with build bios does not see dvd drive
Switched the cable and that fixed it Now bios sees drive. I have a few more questions.
1. I would like to find out how to burn in processor (Q9450)and graphics card (HD4850 ). Is there anything special to do this? 2. OS loading - anything special I should do or look out for (VISTA Home Premium 64 bit). Should I load OS first or burn in first? Thanks for your earlier help |

Re: Help with build bios does not see dvd drive
just load the operating system and run the computer as normal
their are programs that put components under load i never bother with them the only setback i struck with 64x was my canon scanner will not work everything else was ok
