Motherboard Question

Hi Im still a bit new here, and trying to get some help with a PC of mine.

I built my own computer about a year ago, then I started getting problems with it and gave up on it about 6 months ago. Ive decided recently that Im going to try to rebuild my PC, but thats becoming a problem seeing how I dont know what was wrong with it.

My question is this:
When I built my computer, someone got the motherboard for me. All I know about it is that its a Microstar mobo. Could someone please help me find out what model it is, considering the computer dosent run??

Any info would be appreciated.

Re: Motherboard Question

Look at the motherboard and see if there is any writing on it.

My motherboard has 'K9N SLI PLATINUM' Just under the PCI-E slot. Check either their or beside the CPU socket.
