[SOLVED] Gigabyte GA-M57SLI-S4 AMD SLI
right i just got this motherbaord this morning, it has been used before but was in a working system and working when i got it, after installing it in my system, it wouldnt boot, at all no bios screen or nowt. i tried another power supply no luck, evan tried another switch , no cigar.
Any idea what is up with it? or ahouls i get my cash back from the guy and buy a new one. Specs are The Said Motherboard AMD Athlon X2, AM2 5000+ Black Edition 2x 1 gig, DDR2 6400, 800Mhz Ram Geforce 8500GT 1Gig 1x 80gb Hard drive 1x 160gb Hard Drive Last edited by thewizard99 : 06-29-2008 at 08:49 AM. |

what brand and wattage power supplies have you tried
set it up out of the case on a piece of cardboard with cpu video ram speaker and see if you get post check you have the correct amount of standoffs no more no less that they line up with the holes in the m/board usually 9

tried just a bog standard atx 400w power supply and a VCool one same wattage from Maplins. tried it out of the comp too on cardboard, and nowt. i think it may be a deadend.

you need to be in this range and quality

evan if i had that it still wouldnt have loaded up, i should have been able to load it into a bios at least. also it was working fine with a 450 last night, before i got hold of it.

ok push went to shove and shove went to get the car to do it.
yes i went and got a new board and currently typing on it, everything is fine and dandy, the board got checked out and the underside of the board was damaged when i got it, so i got my money back and got a new board. yey me |
