Computer turns on but monitor doesnt

everything in my cases works and turns on and the monitor doesnt wanna work at all i have no idea what to do i got a XFX 680i SL SLI mobo and
Q6600 Quad core PCU when i first installed the mobo i didnt do the brass spacers the first time i installed it and it did work at all and then i did the next day and the board turned on and the monitor just stayed blank with the orange standby light on and nothing is happening

HELP ME PLEASE!!!!

the standoffs stop the board from shorting to the backplate and connect the m/b through the fixing screws where nessasary
set it up out of the case on a piece of cardboard with
cpu
video
ram
speaker
and see if you get post
check you have the correct amount of standoffs no more no less
that they line up with the holes in the m/board
usually 9

what
video card
cpu
m/board
ram
power supply
brand
wattage
are you running

well first i was running the 520 powersuply and it wouldnt even work i dont know if the mobo burnt it out or what so i put an old powersuply i had before it which is 305 :[ and its running the comp. and the standoffs are all in the comp

aspire are low quality and it is underpowered for the system
single card or are you running sli

ok the problem was my ram i just moved it to diff slots and fixed it and my monitor turned right on :]
