Re: need fansize for d865perl MB

newegg was the vender that sent me the two heat sinks for socket 478 that will not fit in the d865perl MB.Hopefully the guy filling the order just put the wrong stuff in the box.
Am trying again with a different vender.
Thanks

Re: need fansize for d865perl MB

does your heat sink frame look like this ???? if so; then the models I gave you will work for sure

http://www.pcsilent.de/en_pd_Foxconn...Modul_488.html

iffffffffff your motherboard comes from an OEM system like a Dell or gateway or HP / Compaq they often used a lotes frame which will not accept a standard heatsink ?

Re: need fansize for d865perl MB

Yes - the heat sink frame looks exactly like that.
Why the ones I ordered from newegg didn't fix I
can't answer. I ordered one from another vender
and it fits in the heat sink frame just fine. It may
be that all I had to do was turn the MB over and
remove the heat sink frame that came with the MB
and replace it with one that I ordered form newegg.
If I build another on the 478 mb I'll remember to check.
Thanks

Are you connected to newegg?
