quality CPU??
Hey everyone,
I just got a laptop and it has an intel core 2 duo CPU T8100 @ 2.1 GHz. I guess i just want to know if this is a good enough CPU for higher end games. (not as demanding as crysis but you know, higher end games. possibly age of conan or world in conflict.) I also have 3 gigs of RAM and an NVIDIA GeForce 8400M GS video card.(256Mb RAM on the video card) I know the video card sucks, so maybe yall could recomend a video card upgrade that would work in a laptop. ive been looking at some and most seem like theyre made for desktops. ----Please HELP! thx

Re: quality CPU??
The CPU is good enough, but your problem is going to be the GPU and unless it's a very high end laptop it is an onboard chip, There isn't anyway to upgrade it that I know of.

Re: quality CPU??
Hi,
to be perfectly honest Puma, laptops are not gaming rigs. Sorry, but it's that simple. But.......check this nVidia site out....... http://www.nzone.com/object/nzone_wo...lict_home.html On the right of centre you will see Can You Run It, just click on that and it will check your system to see if it's up to speed for World In Conflict. Select other games to test for, from the drop-down list entitled...Game Select. |
