No Bios Display
So I played with the BIOS about a year ago then I switched the Primary Video Adapter from PCI to AGP, then after I reboot again. The BIOS doesn't display anymore(black screen)
What I need to know is how to change it back to PCI without going to the BIOS because I can't change it directly on the BIOS because the screen is plain black? Last edited by windsor16; 06-21-2008 at 12:47 AM. |

Re: No Bios Display
Reset your BIOS by jumping the CMOS battery jumper. That will restore factory defaults to your MOBO which should allow you to use the integrated graphics on your mobo or if your mobo doesn't have integrated graphics, resetting the BIOS should default back to PCI.
One issue here is that your BIOS should detect whether an AGP or a PCI graphics card is installed and direct video output to whatever is hooked up.

Re: No Bios Display
There are two ways, the jumper method is to move the jumper to pins 2&3 for a minute or two then move it back to pins 1&2, you manual for the motherboard will explain this as well as the jumper location. The machine must be unpluged when you do this.
Another simpilar way is to remove the battery with the machine unpluged for a few minutes. Take note on how the battery is installed, writing up |
