OS: windows vista


Confused amd proccesor clock speed

not very good with pc's just got new pc ,amd athelon 64*2 dual core proccesor 4400+ only 1000mhtz clock speed can it be faster , pc dell inspiron531, system info shows 2300mhtz,if poss can i over clock it

You won't be able to overclock anything with a Dell motherboard and OEM Bios. As with most OEM's the limitations in the do not provide any ability to change the factory settings.

Your cpu is slowing down to prevent overheating, When the CPU is pushed harder the Ghz will rise.
