[SOLVED] New system build

Hi all long time no post.

I am planning on building a new gaming PC shortly and I was wondering Should I go for E8400 3.0GHz C2D CPU or QX6600 C2Q CPU?

And is DDR 3 worth going for at the moment?

Any opinions welcome :)

cheers for the reply,

I was thinking the same thing about ddr3 especially because of the crap latency at the moment.

I wasn't sure on the cpu though, thanks for your response :)
