Problem with my systtem

Hey,

Just before i start here is my system specs
ASUS P4WD2 Premium
Pentium D 3.4ghz 800mhz FSB, 2*2mb L2 Cache
3gb of DDR2 RAM
WINDOWS vista Ultimate 32bit
Nvidea 7900
Antec 900 Extreme gaming case

Ok so i moved my computer about a week ago and tried to power it back up and it started and then after about 15 seconds it powered itself back down. Then my power Supply started a high pitch whine and whenever i turned it on it would power back down without any monitors working. This is a weird bit the longer i left it off the longer it stayed on.
Then last night i dismantled my whole system taking the parts out carefully getting rid of dust and sealing them in static free bags. I put the Motherboard back into the case as well as the PSU and the Graphic Card and powered it back up and now it does not Power itself down but the screens are still not turning on........ checked the screen itself with another and same deal.

Any suggestions. Ive ordered another PSU to take away the whining but i am doubting that that will be the problem.

I think you will find your problem solved with the new PSU

I hope you got a good quality one >>>> the Pentium D is a power hog, cheapies just dont get along well with the "D"

a worthy PSU will cost a minimum of $100.00 to $130.00

Re: Problem with my systtem

Ok i installed the New Powersupply and it powers the system up but i am still not getting any signal to the monitors. I have tried to reset the bios setting but to no avail. Wondering what i should try next?

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Re: Problem with my systtem

remove and reinsert the video card

if you had "dirty or defective" power voltage eminating from your power supply; it could have killed your video card or motherboard

try reseating your video card >>>> then if possible try another video card

try starting the computer without a video card installed; see if you can get some bios beeping to occur ??????

Re: Problem with my systtem

Tried removing the video card and inserting it back into no avail, started the computer without a video card, no beeping occurs but i think that is mainly due to the fact that i dont have a speaker on the motherboard at the moment.

Getting a spare graphic card to try out tonight so hopefully fingers crossed it will solve the problem.
