EEK! sata not seen

Haha. I have the same problem with the same motherboard with all proper jumper settings and cable configurations. (I have tried all cable select as well as proper master/slave configuration with masters on each IDE channel set to the device at the end of the cable) I think it has something to do with the BIOS settings or version on our 915P/G Express chipsets. I also think that you were onto something with the on board RIAD option. I am going to try turning that on and setting the IDE channels not detected to DMA2 or w/e and see if it will detect them then. *BUMP* Intel 915P/G *BUMP*

Re: MSI Motherboard Doesnt Detect CD-rom on IDE Slot #2

I can't find that setting. I have looked and played with all the settings for those and still no dice. I did see online that it has an onboard VIA VT6410 IDE RAID Controller. There is a BIOS update though so I am going to do that next. Thanks for your prompt response.
