Installing a New Processor?
Before I embarass myself, let me say this: I've never done anything like this before, never even opened the case to my tower. Now, onto my question:
I have a Gateway 710x, which is about 5 years old. I'd like to install a new processor on it, preferably a Core 2 Duo or Quad. Is this possible? Would I need to find any new drivers? Basically, what do I need to do this, and how? |

Re: Installing a New Processor?
it looks like it only goes with support up to the p4 cpu's
http://www.intel.com/products/chipsets/875p/ to go higher you would need to upgrade m/b cpu ram psu the rest of the components you could move over
