CPU Smart Fan safe?
Is it safe to leave this on?
I freaked out when I first turned my computer on and saw the cpu fan wasn't moving. I shut it off immediately and used my other computer to find out it only spins when it needs too... I'm really paranoid like usual :) I just sat there and watched the fan for 10 minutes while Vista was installing. It started spinning and stopped every second. It's terrifying knowing it could screw my new computer up ![]() My MB is a Gigabyte P35-DS31, CPU Intel 8400, Artic Freezer 7 Pro. I hear the CPU is cooler than most? I guess that's why it barely spins when I boot up? |
