XPS 410 Processor Upgrade (Dual to Quad)

Does any one know if you can upgrade the processors for the Dell XPS410? I've looked on their website and tried to match some stuff up but couldn't do it. I don;t even know how to do it really, just trying to learn more about computers.

I currently have an Intel E6600 Core 2, I went on Newegg and found an Q6700 Quad Core and wondered if it would work.

Oh, and would I need to buy a better cooling system or could I use the stock one from Dell? Thank You

Re: XPS 410 Processor Upgrade (Dual to Quad)

The intel E6600 runs on a 1066FSB the quad you referenced is a 1333mhz FSB cpu ...... so, no that wont work

you could run the Q6600 if your dell bios will allow it ?????

Re: XPS 410 Processor Upgrade (Dual to Quad)

Thanks, I should try looking a little harder on my own before I ask next time. I'll contact Dell to see if it will work. Thanks again.
