[SOLVED] can't find a program to monitor my Temperatures
Hi all...I just assembled a PC for my 6 year old
The Board is a MSI-7309 v1.0 with an Athlon 64 x2 4400+ and 2GB Crucial Ballistix It runs just fine but I can't find any decent program to monitor the temperatures. The BIOS gives me values around 20-25C MSI's own PC Alert 4 shows these Temperatures as well, but constantly warns because it claims the fan speed is too low (I used a Thermal Take TR2-R1 which runs at around 1300rpm, which is sufficient because of the overdimensioned heatsink) What I tried so far: Everest, speedfan, siw, Core Temp, HW monitor, MBM5 and a few others which give me either temps around -2C (30-35 F :D or none at all (either 0C or 255C (=hex FF ;) But now I'm at my wits end...there's got to be an application which reads the sensors correctly. I just want to check the system under stress. I understand that MSI is somewhat skiddish about their sensors Does anybody know a program that's known to work with this board Or at least a way to switch off the Fan warning in PC Alert 4 ? Thank you -le -le |

Re: can't find a program to monitor my Temperatures
great post linderman...this seems to be the only program that can tell me a semi-accurate readout of my e8400's temperatures.

Re: can't find a program to monitor my Temperatures
Sorry, but Sensor View Pro can't give me anything close to a correct reading either.
By now I went through everything (sensor related) that's available from tucows.com, betanews.com, filehippo and cnet (download.com). I'm getting so aggravated about that matter right now that I will stop using any MSI Boards in my builds. Thanks again -le |

Re: [SOLVED] can't find a program to monitor my Temperatures
Just short before giving up I found Dual Core Center on MSI's Taiwan Page.
That program finally is able to give me correct readings without having to go into BIOS Geesh what a hassle. -le |
