Computer will not boot
I have a computer with a Gigabyte GA-7VR motherboard that worked fine until the other day, it would not start at all.
I opened up the case and the little LED on the motherboard was on, it turned off when I turned the power supply off. I turned the power supply back on and tried starting it, the CPU fan and case fan both turn on for a fraction of a second, then turn off. The LED on the USB flash drive also comes on and the LED on the motherboard comes on and stays on. I've tried swapping power supplies, and a different power switch with the same results. I'm pretty sure it's the motherboard gone bad. I'd like to replace the motherboard but not sure if it could possibly be the CPU as well. I'm hoping to be able to use the same CPU and RAM, any ideas? Thanks |
